To find what you are looking for, think of who or what you want to commemorate. If you just got engaged, the 1st Christmas Engaged Ornament is perfect for you. Do you love your pet? Get a pet photo ornament to showcase their adorable face. Once you've chosen your ornament, ordering is quick and easy.
Placing your Order
Simply select the product of your choice and go through our secure checkout process to place your order. For this blog post, we chose an illustrated pet ornament which had other customizations made to it. Take a look at the screenshots showing how to place your order on our site step-by-step (notes are written in pink on the images).
Make sure to double-check your choices before submitting your order. Spell check your personalized verbiage, double-check the name or information, and upload a photo if necessary for that specific ornament.
Again, for this blog post, we ordered the "MY HUMANS GOT MARRIED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT" to use as an example. When ordering, we asked to change the wording to make it a memorial pet ornament (final outcome shown at the end of the article). If you want to make changes like this on your order, write it out in the personalization details box and our designers will work their magic.
When you are uploading a photo, make sure it is high quality and well-lit. Also, please have your pet posed in the direction you would like them illustrated. The photo can be uploaded via the product or you can email it in at hello@barnstreetdesigns.com. You may also email us with questions or extra details about your order.
Production
After your order is placed, the production process will begin. What does this mean? The production process consists of getting your design prepared by our talented artists, sending proofs for approval (*Please note* - If selecting one of our standard pet images from the chart on the listing no proof is provided unless requested), and getting it into our printing line-up.
Designing your Custom Art
If you chose a custom illustrated ornament, your artwork will be designed for you by hand! We take the picture you sent in and draw overtop of it to get the illustration just right. Take a look at the video below for the process of how the dog was illustrated for the ornament we chose.
Proof to Print
Once the art is designed, we will send you a proof to approve right to your inbox (again, only if it is custom artwork and not standard). We take the approval process very seriously to make sure you get exactly what was requested. Below is an example of what your proof may look like.
PLEASE NOTE - Any change requests to the custom illustration will incur a $20 redraw fee. However text and layout changes receive 2 complimentary proofs. The custom illustration fee is not refundable unless we have not started your artwork yet. Once our designers start the artwork process, the artwork fee becomes nonrefundable.
Now that everything has been approved, your ornament goes into print. We pride ourselves in high quality materials. Your ornament is printed with crisp UV inks on sturdy frosted acrylic, resulting a long-lasting memorable product.
After printing, the ornaments are cleaned up and then the ribbon is added to make your custom illustrated ornament ready for hanging!
Shipping
Once your ornament is completed, it will be shipped directly to you. Make sure to order well in advance of the holiday season to ensure you receive your ornament in time!
